Gun Safety on the Sabbath

Chapter 2: The Sacredness of Life

1. The Almighty has granted unto His people the right to defend their lives and the lives of their loved ones. But on the Sabbath, the day of rest, there shall be no acts of aggression or preparation for conflict, lest the sanctity of the day be defiled.

2. Let every man who possesses a weapon, whether it be for hunting, sport, or defense, take heed to secure it in a place of safety on the eve of the Sabbath. For it is written, "Thou shalt not kindle a fire in any of thy dwellings on the Sabbath day," and so too shall no weapon be drawn or fired, that the peace of the Sabbath may be preserved.
